"Lyra" is a calm, sweet mare. She can be ridden by beginners and children and doesn't mind new riders at all. She has good manners and responds well to commands. She enjoys going on trail rides and being ridden by anyone who will climb on her back. Lyra was originally in training to show in hunter/jumpers, but although she enjoyed the jumping, she seemed to prefer the lifestyle of a pleasure horse. She is often used for schooling, even though is quite young. For a while we weren't sure if she was ever going to show, but now we've decided to let young riders compete with her in equitation classes. You can see her training page here.
